U.S. National Whitewater Center

An outdoor center built around the largest artificial whitewater river in the world, plus miles of trail, climbing walls, and ziplines. You can paddle the rapids, hike the perimeter, or just watch from the riverbank with a cold drink.

A day pass opens most of it, and the trail system is free to walk. It is the most Charlotte-shaped version of the outdoors there is.
