Paris Mountain State Park

Greenville's backyard mountain, a state park minutes from downtown with a lake, miles of trail, and enough elevation to make you feel like you left town. The Lake Placid loop is the easy version; the Sulphur Springs Trail is the honest one.

It gets busy on pretty weekends, so go early or on a weekday. The mountain-bike trails share the park, so keep an ear out at the crossings.
