Caesars Head State Park

A mountain overlook perched on the Blue Ridge escarpment, where the view drops away across the piedmont like the edge of the world. The overlook itself is a short walk from the parking area, and the trails beyond it climb and wind through the high forest.

On clear days you can pick out distant ranges stacked to the horizon. It is a drive up the mountain, but the payoff is immediate.
